Hooked on a feeling ...

Hooked on a feeling …
by Glenda Gibbs

Being in a relationship, we learn things about ourselves.

Once upon a time, many years ago, I was in relationship with a man who enjoyed having fun and laughing; the laughter we shared was wonderful. And then one day, things came to an end for us as a couple.

Because things didn't work the way that I had hoped they would, I had thoughts going through my mind... "With him I laughed, now that he’s gone so is my laughter. I am going to miss that feeling." This example fuels spiritual deprivation.

A healthy perspective ...

We laughed. This laughter and feeling was evoked from each of us individually and shared collectively.

With him I allowed myself to be vulnerable, subsequently I learned new things about myself.

The gift of insight… my laughter was always within me. While he was the one to evoke it ... to realize I didn’t need him or anyone to prompt me to laugh … had me laughing even more. This example fuels spiritual alignment.

May your day be filled with laughter!

To your best,
Glenda
