Change is in the air

I decided to change the focus of this and share my thoughts about life: my life, your life, life in general. I invite you to comment, even suggest topics.

*****************

I love to play in my gardens, both flowers and veggies... a bit about my veggies...

I had a my veggie garden this year planted in and amongst my flowers. I loved the foliage, different colors and textures, they also reduced weeds.

Have you eaten lemon cucumbers? I had an abundance of them. My dogs love them too! Unlike the good old cukes with bitter peels, these have a thin skin, round and to be eaten like an apple.

Another abundant veggie was my pumpkins. I've been busy baking pumpkin and freezing. Yesterday I made Pumpkin soup to die for ... if you'd like the recipe let me know and I'll post it.

In the garden

Here it is in the oven baking ... drizzled with olive oil, salt and pepper

The BEST pumpkin soup... yum!

Life is good, having the opportunity to plant the seed, watching it grow and enjoying the fruit of my labor. May all of the seeds we plant offer us such satisfaction.

Happy day to you!

Sunshine And Smiles Are Everywhere… Where's yours?

Sunshine And Smiles Are Everywhere… Where's yours?

It's there I know it is!  See…

Life is too short to be complacent and accept life-suck moments as reality. Yet as I write this, I know of many who are caught in this limiting belief. I used to be.  It doesn't have to be that way!

The matrix of who I am today is one that, well, I believe for all purposes I must have decided to re-incarnate with the intention of cleaning up an incredible amount of karma and learn to enjoy life's adventures. I've learned that most of my experiences have offered me the insight of being a better person and have more to offer to those around me. This wouldn't have happened if I believed the concepts of being complacent and life sucks were to be my life's destiny.

There will always be life-suck moments. It's how you view them. Life offers us these as opportunities to grow. We can either "face our fears" (as my 8 year old grandson tells me he needed to do in order to go in front of his class and share) or we can believe the fears and doubts and doing so, they multiply! Aren't you ready to give up being your own worst enemy?

Its time for you to get off your duff! You've got more going for you than to settle!

Might you ask, "How would I know if I'm my own worst enemy?"

Check your inner dialogue. Are your thoughts more positive or negative? Do they include being supportive and looking at the events of your life as an opportunity… of blessings and gratitude? …Telling yourself that you're doing a good job? Are you listening to and believing that you're a great person who enjoys being you…even when times are tough? Are you treating you with the same respect that you would your best friend?  Or do you often find yourself listening to beat-up, never enough, and blame? And then feel guilty??? Those thoughts that are self-defeating and negative - notice what you're thinking and then - make a new choice.

You're in charge of what you're thinking - as you change your thinking to thoughts that work for you rather than in opposition, you'll see that your life will too.

The greatest gift that you can give yourself is being your own best friend.

Imagine that … a life long friend … always and forever! Now that's something to get enthused about!

ACKNOWLEDGING ONE’S GIFTS

ACKNOWLEDGING ONE’S GIFTS
Photographs seem to be a picture that speaks a thousand words. Yet for some, having available a recent picture, or allowing a photograph to be taken, is a stretch, way beyond comfort.
One might pretend that an age-old picture is a way of preserving the image ... suggesting who they were years ago, is who they are today.
The yesterdays accumulating, allowing for us this day, yet some deny the gift of life — as they appear to be froze in time.

... Who is here?

SHH AND LISTEN...

SHH   AND LISTEN...

Bring to mind situations where one can be complaining about all of the injustices that seem to be occurring in life ...  And as history repeats itself, so do the dramas — some feel bored or void without them — only to produce another diversion...

When running the same old number exhausts you, ask yourself what you are really afraid of.

One has to go within to get out...

A FINE POINT TO CONSIDER

A FINE POINT TO CONSIDER

Ever notice how we have been socially conditioned to believe the biggest is the best...

What if one were to retrace - a river to its point of origin ... the contributions that have naturally occurred - if one were to remove any of them, the river would not be exactly as it is.

This example, goes without saying, is applicable to everything and everyone. Now that is pretty big.

The choice of today is a part of tomorrow’s history.
