Thinking of this mother…
Sending her strength, and a village to help carry her forward.
In September, she went to the court system asking them to modify the parenting plan, warning that he had bipolar disorder and narcissism. She saw the decline. She tried to protect her girls. And the system did nothing. And the court did nothing.
His actions are an example of evil. People in a healthier state of mind — even when angry — do not do what he did.
I believe it’s important to feel every feeling — rage, sorrow, despair — and move through them fully. That’s how clarity begins to emerge. In time, we can begin to name what we do want — safety, accountability, change.
May this mother be held with love, surrounded by unwavering support, and empowered — when she’s ready — to become the catalyst for change.
Sometimes the deepest grief awakens the fiercest change. Maybe Olympia is where this leads.
May we all be with her in this moment, surrounding her in love.
